Stuck In The Middle With You

The Middle Spoon Desserterie And Bar

With copious choices of decedent desserts to choose from and a long list of drinks that are actually more like a dessert; I was a far cry from my non-fat sugar free vanilla latte usual.

Inside The Middle Spoon provides a very modern feel, with a lot of dark swanky colors, and soft pretty lighting: the decor is simple, but chic. We sat at the table in the front window, among some soft cozy pillows and watched the people come and go along the street of downtown Barrginton.

Upon your immediate entrance is a beautiful bar, house to any kind of liquor your little heart desires. Behind the bar was even more eye candy, with a sharp dressed bartender shining up some wine glasses. Okay I've digressed, back to the food.

Our server was very knowledgeable, and personable, as she guided me into finding something that suited my taste buds. I was largely impressed that she wasn't offended when I told her that I didn't really like sweet things; she probably was looking at me thinking: Why are you here?

I know it goes against my feminine nature to dislike overly sweet things, but I usually like bitter or sour things better, but who can resist anything peanut butter I mean come on?

To the left is a photo of my drink a Phil Collins, a grapefruit twist on the traditional Tom Collins, it was surprisingly refreshing and definitely exactly what I needed after a long day at work.

At the Middle spoon they do take credit in preparing all of their syrups and bitters in house for their drink menu, and I can respect that.

There is plenty to choose from at the Middle Spoon, and there is literally something for everyone.  If you are anything like me I would try the "espresso" dessert, it is very light and not overly sweet. I give it a super yum! and two thumbs up!

If you prefer a sweeter more full flavored dessert I would go for the New York inspired Cheesecake it was deliciously rich especially topped with caramel. Oulala!

They even have gluten free options which include The Lemon Pavlova and GF chocolate torte.

I'm really looking forward to heading back to the The Middle Spoon this weekend for the East Coast Fashion Bloggers: Unleashed Event!

Get your dessert spoons ready girls!
Happy Wednesday,
