Post Shopping At Rogue's Roost

Veggie Burger & Sweet Potato Fries - w/ Raspberry Beer
A friend of mine and I had been shopping downtown Halifax for an enormously long time, and we certainly worked up an appetite. For a dance inspired photo shoot that I am trying to arrange, I literally tried on EVERY bodysuit that American Apparel has to offer and finally made a few purchases. With my bodysuits in tow, and a hungry belly we headed over to Rogue's for a drink and bite. What better way to end a skin tight affair than to go drink a pint of beer and eat burgers.

Food: The veggie burger was really good, topped with fresh veggies like spinach and red onion and tomato what more could a vegetarian ask for? I also liked that mustard came along on the side because I am really not a fan of mayo. The sweet potato fries were just want I needed; next time I'd ask for no salt.

Price: The price is really reasonable, I think my meal was under 10 dollars, and judging by the food in the photo you can assume that I was stuffed to the brim when I left.

Service: The waitress was neither great or terrible. I can't really remember anything in particular except that she let me try a little bit of the Raspberry beer before ordering a pint which I thought was pretty kind of her.

Atmosphere: This place is pub inspired, so it is really busy, and kind of loud. The tables are bar stool high, and big window allow you to look out onto Spring Garden road. This is actually be pretty entertaining depending on what time of day/night you are hanging out at Rogue's. I like people watching so this is a win for me.

I look forward to seeing your bodysuit collection blogged! This looks yummy. I'm working out the best place for burgers in NYC so I don't eat the bad ones (there are many). When you have the perfect burger, everything feels ok...

  2. I really liked this one. Although I don't like to eat red meat, I did eat it as a kid, and there's something about eating a burger that is still nostalgic or comforting. This veggie burger was definitely a win.
