You love her style, and now you can have her nails too! Glam diva Gwen Stefani recently teamed up with OPI nails to launch their latest collection featuring 7 limited edition lacquers for 2014. And I was luck enough to get my hands on some of the new shades!
Paying homage to her signature look, the collection includes a bold red lacquer (much like her statement red lips), a new semi-matte satin finish in shades of gold and black, and a mirrored chrome paired with a special base coat.
Inspired by the 2013 Metropolitan Museum Costume Institute Gala that featured the theme “Punk: Chaos to Couture,” OPI Executive VP and Artistic Director Suzi Weiss- Fischmann decided to create a collection of lacquer celebrating the role of music as a major influence in fashion. “With her expertise as a singer, songwriter and designer, who better to collaborate with than Gwen Stefani?” asks Weiss-Fischmann. “Known for her trademark red lips, bold eye makeup and nail art, Gwen uses beauty to accessorize her style”.

Recently I was lucky enough to give these colors a test drive, and I have to say I'm loving all these colors. With bright reds and pinks, rich matte shades like charcoal and wine, some sparkle thrown into the mix; I think this collection is perfect to take you through the gloomy months of January. And in true OPI fashion the colors have adorable names! I mean? 'Over and Over A Gwen' I died! How adorable is that? I love it. Sorry for totally nerding out on the marketing here; I just can't help myself.
Currently I'm sporting the '4 in the morning' and I love its matte gray finish! It's dark, but the color actually dries a lot lighter than you expect, and its almost a leather like finish, which I think is pretty cool. Up next? That beautiful shade of pink: Hey baby! Hey baby! Hey!
Keep your eye peeled for these shades in the New Year!
