Ahhh... the warm weather finally arrived in Halifax last weekend and I could not have been more excited! These photos were snapped last weekend while the sun was shining and the wind was blowing full tilt! This weekend there are rumors of a tropical storm, and so I think it's going to be a messy weekend. You'll have to live vicariously through these sunny photos my East Coast blog readers!

I put this verrrrrrrry comfortable outfit together for a Style Panel challenge of "How to Dress For a Festival and Beyond" I decided to go with a sheer sleeveless blouse (major thanks to Old Navy) and denim shorts for ultimate comfort for endless fun in the sun. I also decided to let my hair down (literally), I'm not sure if you know this blog reader, but my hair is naturally curly, and for this boho inspired challenge I decide to not mess with it, and let it dry naturally. So the hair you see here is literally the result of very minimal styling and even fewer hair products. For summer days when it's just too hot to blow out my hair I literally rely on my Redken "All Soft Argan-6 Oil" to minimize frizziness and that's it ladies! I think it's important to give your hair a break every once in a while, and for me the summer is the perfect time to do that!

To check out my full response as well as my fellow style panel lovelies head on over to Fashion Magaizne! I also created a "Festival Fashion" mood board a few weeks ago and that can be viewed here.

  1. I loved this outfit just because it is so simple! If you're outside all day or night for an event why do you want to be fussing with a million little details anyways (unless you're at Coachella where it is the mission of every lady to be snapped for a street style site haha). Plus your natural hair is SO pretty. Love it! Mine dries as straight as Hugh Hefner.
