Fashion Friday "Outfit Inpso"

Necklace c/o me :)

A dress is never just a dress, maybe it was what you wore on your first date, or when you got your first kiss, or maybe it was what you wore when you got that first real job that you really really wanted. The clothes we wear should never ultimately define us, but they certainly are an expression of who are, or at least how we want to represented. Our clothes go through so much with us, and I think they are a lot more than just simple drapes of fabric. A lot of times style is an expression of one's creativity, and personality. I love to see how people style things differently, and even more so when they push boundaries and style items in a way that I'd never even imagined.

In this case, this dress has actually transformed into a skirt. I don't know how this came to be, but one day I decided this dress would make a really neat high waisted skirt. So I folded it over, and tucked in the straps, and threw a belt on top of it. I actually wear it this way more now, than as an actual dress. Here is a photo from last year when I was in New York, and I'm wearing the dress as a dress.

Fashion isn't just about brands, and high end designers. I think you can find fashion where ever, and when ever; you just need a little creativity and imagination to make it your own.

What I wearing:

Sweater: H&M
Belt: Forever 21
Purse: Zellers (I know right?)
Shoes: Mini Tonka (purchased somewhere in New York)
Dress: Suzy Sheer
Tank: H&M
Necklace: Made by me :)

What are some items in your closet that you've transformed blog reader? I'd love to see them!

Happy Fashion Friday!
Hope you are having a fabulous day blog reader!

I prefer it as a skirt - I like the waistline...

Hmm I'm not sure I've transformed anything! I might need to get creative. I do tend to wear some lingerie as outwear though (if appropriate, I might add!)Hope that counts :-)
