Day in the Life of a Teambuyer Part 1

July 18, 2011

Standing in an elevator I overhear a conversation about cheap yoga classes; naturally my ears perk up and my eyes widen. Cheap yoga classes ? Tell me more! After some shameless eaves dropping I found out that the woman was taking about a purchase she had made through Team Buy.

Admit two

Short Presents was chosen to experience a day in the life of a Team Buyer.
If you're not familiar with Teambuy basically how it works is that you subscribe your e-mail, and a particular deal is posted online (usually every couple of days); it can be anything from spa packages to drinks downtown, but you can save up to 50-70% off if you purchase collectively with your fellow Halligonians with Teambuy.

Once you make your decision to purchase, (and you should act quickly these deals don't last forever) , and after the buy closes, teambuy figures out if it's reached it's quota.

If enough other people bought in, you will be notified that you can redeem your purchase. If not enough people don't buy in you aren't charged anything, so no worries. Once your purchase is finalize you can view your ticket, you can choose to download and print the ticket to take with you to redeem much like the one seen above.

So today I got to choose my own adventure just as you would online with teambuy. I had many options (for two) to choose from, but I love waffles and lattes so I couldn't resist.
Ray's Haus European Cafe and Bistro, is tucked away from the hustle of the city core. Nestled in the tall Fenwick Building here in Halifax Nova Scotia, this place was pretty quiet considering we visited at 3pm on a Sunday. The gentleman working was more than courteous, and I'd give him an A+ for customer service.

Thank you too John Bowes, and Meghan Finney, as this would not have been possible without either of you.

Looking forward to part two, and getting my fingers and toes all jazzed up with Totally Yours Salon and Spa for a boat cruise on Thursday.

Much Love,
sp
