Individual Apple Crisp

January 4, 2011

No excuses, you don't need to make a whole batch of apple crisp for yourself because you know you'll only eat the entire thing anyway. Instead try this simple recipe to make Apple Crisp for One, (or two) if you're so inclined to share some with your significant other.

Ingredients:
apples or pear, peeled and thinly sliced
tablespoons brown sugar
tablespoons quick-cooking oats
tablespoon flour
1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
tablespoon butter
    Directions

Place fruit in a small baking dish. I used a French Onion Soup bowl to make the apple crisps. You could use those adorable little baking dishes that are colored.

In a separate bowl, combine all remaining ingredients, then sprinkle over the fruit. I play around with the sugar content I often downgrade 1/4 of the amount of sugar in recipes, and then double things like cinnamon. You could also add a pinch of nutmeg; it increases sexual arousal if you want to make this for your S.O. You could try sweetners, but I try to stay away from them maybe stevia?

Bake at 375 for 25 minutes.

This recipe couldn't BE any easier, and it's a great way to portion control, but you could go all out and pair it with Vanilla ice cream and/or frozen yogurt.

Also I tried using apple sauce once instead of butter but it was a disaster DO NOT ATTEMPT! Just use blue menu margarine or Becel if you are concerned with cals.

  1. Enjoy!
  2. Sincerely,
  3. Short Presents
