Tis the season to be giving; I love giving presents and tend to get awkward when receiving them, but there is something to be said about someone seeing something and thinking of you. Every now and then someone hits the nail right on the head, and what they've picked for you sums you up to a tea.
Little boxes on the hillside
Little boxes made of ticky tacky
Little boxes on the hillside
Little boxes all the same
And the people in the houses
All went to the university
Where they were put in boxes
And they came out all the same
Both of us will be out of the city for Christmas, so we exchanged our Christmas presents early. I had a pretty good idea from the Davids Tea bag that there would be tea inside, BUT I had no idea that they would be so cute! These adorable little boxes contain petite tea blossoms that expand when you put them into hot water. I had ones similar to these (jasmine flowers) before that I purchased at the Byward Market in Ottawa; I was so excited to learn that I could purchase them here. As you can see above, there a few different kinds: fountain of youth, jasmine garland, and double double zen. Do you think he was trying to tell me something here? ;) Davids Tea also sells copious amounts of loose teas, I think I smelled every single one when they first opened the store in the shopping centre. Where they were put in boxes
And they came out all the same
Davids Tea has two locations here in the city, one in the Halifax Shopping Centre and one directly on Spring Garden next to my favorite Greek resto Estia. Give it a go, with so much choice there has to be something that will tickle your fancy :)
sincerely,
